About The Ark 

The Ark is a community meeting place and advice centre. We provide advice on a wide range of issues including welfare benefits, housing, eviction, employment, general life skills and community issues. Alongside the advice service we run a community meeting place. This is a place of welcome where welcome, friendship, conversation are offered at the same time as free tea, coffee and biscuits.

Retail (High Street) Business Advisor

Gedling Borough Council’s retail business advisor provides support, advice and guidance as well as signposting to services provided by partners operating in the area.

One to one appointments are available to address all of your business questions including:

Online and in person retail
Social media and marketing
Business strategy
General advice, support and guidance
Information on services provided by partners

Small Business Advisor

Gedling Borough Council’s small business advisor is also available to provide support, advice and guidance and is available to help with any queries you may have including:

Start-up advice
Business planning
Grants and funding
Development and skills
Sales and marketing

Sessions are available for anyone to attend at the Civic Centre, Arnot Hill Park, Arnold, NG5 6LU on a drop in basis, though if you already have a work coach with the DWP please book a slot through your advisor
