Our Retail Business Advisors, Wendy & Marcus Walker from Ovy Design provide support, advice and guidance to businesses within the borough as well as signposting to services provided by partners operating in the area.

Business events & training 

Gedling Business Support Network 

Gedling businesses are eligible to attend this free monthly networking event, organised by East Midlands Chamber, to find out about business support available. Book your place at the next event on Friday 24 January 2025, 9.30 AM - 11.45 AM at the Richard Herrod Centre in Carlton.

Retail Business workshops

Gedling Borough Council are hosting a series of free retail workshops to support local businesses to boost their sales. The events are being run by Ovy Design, a Nottingham based business who will be running practical workshops to help promote your business. Book your place on the 2025 workshops taking place from 15 January at the Civic Centre in Arnold.

Gedling Business Advisory Surgeries

If you'd like to discuss a specific issue with an expert business advisor, Lisa Baggott from East Midlands Chamber is running free monthly business surgeries. You can book a 1 to 1 hour-long appointment tailored to your unique business challenges. Lisa can also offer advice about business funding availability and eligibility such as grants. Book an appointment now for an hour slot available from 22 January 2025.

*Gedling business support is funded by the UK Government's Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) until 31 March 2025.
