In the Mood for Love (PG) + Kei Po Exhibition: Saturday 30 September, 2pm

A beautiful story from Hong Kong that looks both forward and back with a nostalgia for a romantic form of cinema. Wong Kar Wai’s In the Mood for Love was recently voted as the fifth greatest film of all time according to the BFI’s Critics Poll, a vote conducted every 10 years.

A Guilty Conscience (15): Saturday 14 October, 2.30pm

A stunning courtroom drama / thriller and one of the biggest hits of the year, becoming the first Hong Kong film to top HK$100m at the Box Office. Dayo Wong plays a sharp-tongued barrister who hopes to redeem himself from a past mistake that landed his defendant in jail.

My Life as McDull (U) + children's games: Saturday 6 January, 2.30pm

An animated adventure set in the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong, My Life as McDull follows a piglet child, who isn’t the smartest, the handsomest or the fittest in the neighbourhood.

Also included in the Hong Kong Film Season at Bonington Theatre are:

Fat Choi Spirit (15) + Mahjong games: Saturday 17 February 2024

Love in a Time of Revolution (15) + Q&A: Sunday 9 June 2024
