Armed Forces Breakfast Club

Soldier silhouette and the details of the event with a British flag and a cup of coffee

A new breakfast club aimed at bringing members of the Armed Forces together launched at Richard Herrod Centre in summer 2022. The club is open to any active or ex-members of the armed forces, including veterans and any family members connected to the forces.

The club is a great chance to meet up with others for a chat over a cuppa or breakfast. There will also be information on the services available to military members in the borough of Gedling.

The club takes place every 4th Saturday of the month. There will be bacon, sausage and vegetarian cobs available to buy from local business, Inn The Bank, as well as tea and coffee available to buy from the Richard Herrod Centre bar.

The club is part of the council’s plan to reduce loneliness and isolation in the borough, as well as supporting Armed Forces as part of the council’s Armed Forces Covenant.

The council has also launched an Armed Forces Leisure Card to offer free use of the gyms in all Gedling Leisure centres.
