Number of courses offered free to learners, including GCSEs.

Courses are free to learners in receipt of benefits.

DBC Training: iProgramme

 

Equipping people with the required digital skills for the new virtual world as well as providing a wide range of courses.

16+ (No upper age limit)

CT Skills

Provide access to a wide range of courses. 

16+ (No upper age limit)

Inspire Culture, Learning and Libraries

 

Provide access to a wide range of courses.

Free and subsidised accredited and non-accredited courses for those aged 19 and over, as well as a 16-24 Study Programme (based at Redhill Youth Centre).

Employment support programme aiming to help more disabled people start or stay in work.

Disability or long term health condition that means you need an aid, adaptation or financial or human support to do your job, or have a mental health condition and need support in work, and you are aged 16 or over

How to improve your digital and employability skills.

Boosts opportunities for young people who aren't in employment, education or training and prepares them for the world of work.

 

Building Better Opportunities:   Opportunity and Change

 

Support people with multiple needs to access education and employment.

Working with people 18+ who are unemployed or economically inactive, who have2 out of 5 complex needs. (Homeless, substance misuse, Domestic Violence, Ex- Offender or Mental Health)

Building Better Opportunities: Money Sorted

 

Help for managing your finances.

All age groups 16+ unemployed or economically inactive. Refer via the website.

 

 

Building Better Opportunities: Towards Work

Access to education, employment and training.

All age groups 16+ who are unemployed or economically inactive, furthest from the labour market and experiencing barriers to accessing employment, education or training. Refer via the website.

 

DWP Mentoring Circles (also Virtual)

Linking young people with employers to pride supportive environment to learn about employment.

Help and support to get into employment.

Participants have to be aged 16 to 25 and NEET

Jigsaw Homes Midlands Job Clubs and JET programme

Job clubs for those living in Killisick and Netherfield. JET provides support to access training.

Available to all

Keepmoat Homes (subject to availability at their current development sites)

Provide a range of support from work experience, training through to employment and apprenticeships.

 

Kick off in Business

 

Online business start-up for young people aged 16 – 25. Also offer the course to those over 25 years of age.

£50 amazon voucher on completion of the four day training programme.

Kickstart Scheme

Funding for employers to create new 6-month job placements for young people who are currently on Universal Credit and at risk of long-term unemployment.

 

NCC iWork Team

 

People who have a diagnosed Learning Disability, Autism or Aspergers Syndrome to access employment.

 

 

Nottingham Jobs/Way2Work

 

Job site for local jobseekers aged 18+ and unemployed.

 

 

Work and Volunteering

A great resource for anyone looking for a new work opportunity, apprenticeships, interested in volunteering and preparing for work.

 

JETS: Job Entry Targeted Support

JETS provision is a new offer providing light-touch employment support due to the increase in unemployment arising from the impact of Covid-19.

 

For those without health conditions who have been out of work for at least 13-weeks.

 

SWAPS: Sector (Based) Work Academy Programme

Previously known as Sector Based Work Academy – pre employment training programme guided by local labour market.

 

Open to any benefit claimant who is close to the labour market.

 

NEA: New Enterprise Allowance

The New Enterprise Allowance (NEA) scheme aims to support claimants to start their own business.

 

Aged 18+ claiming benefits. Not working.

 

WHP: Work and Health Programme

This provision is for disabled people who have complex issues and are considered by their DWP work coach to be at least 12 months away from the labour market.

 

18+ have one or multiple health conditions and agreed suitable by Disability Employment Adviser (DEA).

 

Inspire Culture, Learning and Libraries

 

 

Free advice to people who are seeking employment.  This can include work preparation, CV writing/Updating, Interview skills and lots more.
