The Chief Executive of Gedling Borough Council, Karen Bradford has secured a new role as Chief Executive of South Kesteven District Council in Lincolnshire and will be leaving her current role in the near future.

Karen joined Gedling Borough Council from North Kesteven District Council in September 2018.

Chief Executive Karen Bradford said:

“It has been a privilege to have worked for Gedling Borough Council and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with everyone at the authority. Opportunities like this are few and far between and it wasn’t one I was expecting, however I have made the difficult decision to take the role as it is the right one to take for me and my personal circumstances. I will now focus on giving my full support to the leadership to begin the process of finding my replacement.”

Deputy Leader of Gedling Borough Council, Councillor Michael Payne said

“We wish Karen every success in her new role and I would like to thank her for the leadership she has shown since her appointment. Her experience and contribution has helped place the council in a very strong position, which prides itself on delivering excellent, high quality services to our local communities in spite of the financial challenges it faces.”
