Killisick lane update

In October 2023, following a consultation with local residents, Gedling Borough Council announced it would be going ahead with the sale of land at Killisick Lane which has been allocated for housing. As part of that sale, clearance works need to be carried out on the site, which will start next week.

This is not the start of houses being built, the land is still owned by Gedling Borough Council and no planning permissions have been made or granted.

All works to clear the vegetation and to check the ground will be done under the supervision of an ecologist to ensure wildlife are not disturbed and established trees will not be affected.

The nearby Hobbucks Nature Reserve is open and not affected by the works and residents can use that are as normal.
