Shortlist Announced for the Pride of Gedling Awards 2024

Gedling Borough Council is thrilled to announce the shortlist for the Pride of Gedling Awards 2024. This annual celebration, in association with headline sponsor The Wilkins Group, honours the exceptional residents, businesses and community groups whose efforts make a positive impact across the borough.

For the past few months members of the public have been nominating their community champions for the six award categories and the council received over 120 nominations this year.

The awards ceremony will take place on 6th November at the Civic Centre in Arnold. The evening will bring together people who have demonstrated outstanding contributions in various areas, from business and community projects to youth achievement and environmental stewardship.

The shortlisted nominees for this year’s awards are:

Business in the Community Award (sponsored by Nottinghamshire County Council)

Outstanding Community Project Award (sponsored by Jigsaw Homes)

As well as these awards, at the ceremony there will be an overall Pride of Gedling Award presented along with a very special Lifetime Achievement Award.

Leader of Gedling Borough Council John Clarke MBE said: “I’m proud to see so many members of our community being recognised for their contributions. These awards give us a chance to honour the incredible work done by our residents, businesses, and community groups who work tirelessly to make Gedling a better place for all”.
