Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Equality is really important to us and we're committed to treating all of our customers and staff fairly and without discrimination and prejudice. We're also committed to providing equal access to our services, citizen participation and employment and training opportunities.

The Council’s current equality objectives are embedded in the Gedling Plan 2023-2027, its priorities, objectives and key actions. In this way, the Council can ensure the equality objectives are aligned with the corporate priorities. More information can be found in our Gedling Plan document. 

Our responsibility is also to publish equality information, as required by Equality Act 2010. Publication of the Equality Information 2021/22 contains:

  • Equality profile of the borough’s population (Census 2021) and

Equality information 2022/23 - Gedling Borough’s demographic profile and the council’s workforce profile
