Licences

Following consultation with businesses and approval by the Secretary of State, the council has adopted the extended provisions contained in the Local Government (Miscellaneous) Act 1982 to include Cosmetic Piercing and Semi-permanent skin colouring (e.g.microblading) from 1 April 2023.

If you undertake a business of providing any of the treatments listed below and have not previously registered your premises and practitioners you will need to apply for a premises registration and a person registration (for each practitioner):

  • Beauty Treatments
  • Cosmetic Piercing
  • Semi-Permanent Makeup
  • Tattooing
  • Acupuncture
  • Electrolysis
