Pavement Licensing - food and drink premises only

If you run a business that sells food and drink and want to place tables, chairs or other temporary furniture on the public highway you will require a licence.  Please read the policy and conditions below before making your application.

The current fees for a pavement licence are:

New 2 year licence - £290.00

New 1 year licence - £260.00

Renewal (no changes) 2 year licence - £118.00 (if there are changes from the existing licence your application will be treated as a new application and the appropriate fee above will apply)

If when you make a renewal you are not proposing any changes to your current licence, please email licensing@gedling.gov.uk to confirm there are no changes and attach your current public liability insurance to the email. You will still be required to display a public notice on the premises regarding your renewal.

Please be aware that you are required to display a site notice on your premises as soon as you make your application. If you do not display the site notice your application will not be valid. A pdf and Word version of the site notice is below to assist you.
