Preferred Approach Consultation

Gedling Borough Council has been working with Broxtowe Borough Council, Nottingham City Council and Rushcliffe Borough Council to plan ahead to guide strategic development and growth up to 2038.  We consulted on our ‘Preferred Approach’ document until 14th February 2023, seeking views on the proposed strategy and the approach to housing and employment provision to meet Gedling Borough’s future needs.

Following this consultation and a call for logistics sites in 2022, we consulted on the Strategic Distribution and Logistics: Preferred Approach for six weeks from 26th September 2023 to 7th November 2023.

More information on the Preferred Approach document and the evidence base that supports it can be found on the Greater Nottingham Planning Partnership website https://www.gnplan.org.uk/

Place Gedling Consultation

Gedling Borough Council has launched “Place Gedling” to improve the appearance of the borough. As part of the project, a public consultation took place asking residents and local businesses to say what they like, what they dislike and what they would change about the visual design of Gedling’s streets, buildings and public spaces. Responses were invited over a six-week period between July 12th and August 19th 2022. However, the platform remains open so that people can continue to make comments which may also be considered as the process moves forwards.
