Tree Preservation Orders & Trees in a Conservation Area

Protected Trees are trees which are the subject of a Tree Preservation Order or trees which are situated within one of the Boroughs Conservation Area.

You can use our online map to view any trees in the borough that are protected by a Tree Preservation Order or are situated within a Conservation Area. Just enter the postcode and the Map will display all trees in the area that are protected and the extent of the Conservation Area.

If you are to undertake works to a Protected Tree you will need get permission from the council before commencing any work.

Applications can be submitted by visiting the Planning Portal website. 

There is no charge for an application for Works to Protected Trees.
