Every year the councils gives money to support local community groups and activities.
Your local councillors decide on whether grants are approved and how much is given. Each councillor has £1,000 to award during this year.

Gedling UKSPF Digital Inclusion Grant Fund
Gedling Borough Council’s UK Shared Prosperity Funded Digital Inclusion Programme would like to work with Gedling community hubs, partners, organisations and groups to offer digital inclusion support - access to technology and practical help to improve skills and confidence and promote safety online - to residents within the Borough of Gedling.
Applications are welcomed from Gedling community hubs and voluntary groups, Parish Councils and charitable organisations either directly based in, or serving residents of, Gedling borough. Applications from organisations not currently based or operating services in Gedling borough will not be accepted.
The grant fund offers awards between £500 and £2,500 (with exceptions up to £5,000 at the discretion of the grant panel) to deliver services that achieve the following aims:
- Enable and support people to build confidence, knowledge and skills, access, safety and trust in using both commercial and non-commercial digital services such as the NHS App, online learning, money advice and other public services increasingly delivered online to improve wellbeing, employability and social connection
- Provide 1-1 digital support and mentoring; delivering or hosting practical workshops, training and befriending or other methods to extend the practical use of digital software, social media and other applications and to increase digital inclusion for residents
- Reduce social isolation caused by digital exclusion
- Reach those in target groups within the borough (see application guidance)
- Develop relevant resources for the Gedling Community Action Network (GedlingCAN) online VCS Support Hub and its members and users
- Invest in digital equipment to enable your organisation to access online services, produce and share media and communications and extend the reach of your services.
Voluntary and community organisations based in Gedling borough can request independent support with this application from Nottingham CVS. Further information on the support offered can be found under ‘How to Apply’ in the guidance notes.
The closing date for applications is 5pm on Monday 24 November 2025, and all projects funded must be completed by 31 March 2026.
