Health Conditions
We offer a range of specialist sessions specifically designed for people with health conditions.
DNA Health
DNA Health is a 12 week group exercise programme for individuals (aged 16+) who are physically inactive and have a health condition. The scheme can provide you with an excellent opportunity to try physical activity to improve your long term health, in a safe environment led by qualified instructors.
"I was referred to the DNA Health classes following an annual health check at my local surgery. In 2021 I was diagnosed with advancing prostate cancer and told I was 'very fit' and able to have the option of surgery. The consultant surgeon commented that the DNA Health training had probably strengthen my core muscles and helped my fitness, with improved outcome expectations - all went very well - thanks to the scheme and particularly Sue's support." - John T

Heartbeats
The Heartbeats Scheme offers people with heart conditions the chance to exercise in a fun and safe environment led by a specially trained instructor. Our classes cater for people who’ve suffered from cardiac problems such as a recent heart attack, valve-replacement surgery or angina.
"I have been attending Heartbeats gym sessions for over a year. I had suffered a heart attack which injured my heart muscle. I joined the class to continue my rehabilitation and it has made a great difference to me. My activity and fitness levels are getting close to normal now and I think the sessions with a specialist instructor are invaluable to recovery. - Dr Philip Hollows"
