Important changes for customers

Gedling Leisure centres have now introduced a new leisure system. The new system includes improved online features for customers to manage their account and book online and via the app.

The Gedling Leisure app has been updated with a new look, making it easier to book/cancel your sessions.

Find out more about other important changes below (including how to set up your login details so that you can book online).

Online and Gedling Leisure app bookings

All card holders will need to set up new login details for their online accounts. When you go to log in to your account, either via the Gedling Leisure app or website, click on the ‘Create or reset password’ or 'Forgotten password?' button and enter the email address you signed up to Gedling Leisure with (please make sure that it's all in lower case and that there are no gaps at the end of the email address). You should then receive an email with a link to set up a new password.

To log in within the app, select a class or activity and then click the 'login' button in the top right corner before booking. You can also login via the 'my bookings' button.

Guide to login on app screenshots

You should only need to do this once, as your login and your account are linked from both the app and the website, so your new password will apply to both logins.

Please note: logging in via the 'my account' button on the app will log you in to view your account on through a browser, not log you into the app for bookings.

Card holders will be able to book activities from 7 days in advance with the new system.

Non-card holders can book 24 hours in advance. If booking through the app, follow the process of booking a session and when you get to the 'login' page, click 'not a card holder?' to book sessions which take place in the next 24 hours.

We will still require 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations (Members can easily do this online and via the app) so that other people can have your place if you aren’t going to be able to attend your booked session. Gedling Leisure card holders and non-card holders will need to call the centre to cancel a booking and obtain a refund.

We continue to develop the app and booking system. Currently, if you require multiple people on one booking e.g to add children, please give the centre a call to add others to your booking.

Gedling Leisure and membership cards

Customers will need to bring your leisure cards with you on each visit to the centres, for any activities. Anyone who forgets to bring their leisure card with them will need to go to reception to pick up a temporary, one day leisure card.

If you have lost your Gedling Leisure or membership card, please pick up a free replacement card from reception before the end of December 2022. All current cards remain valid, so you only need to replace your card if you have lost it. From 1 January 2023 replacement cards will cost £3 each.

If you do not already have a leisure card, you can order one online.

New customer ID photos

New customer ID photos are required for all leisure card holders and for anyone on swimming lessons (not including babies at this time).

Please pop by reception on your next visit to have your photo taken so that we can update your account on our system, it will only take a few minutes.

Checking in

All customers will need to check in at reception with their card and then go to their booked activity as usual.

Access to Carlton Forum health suite

Members with the health suite bolt on package should go to reception for a wristband which will open the doors when scanned at the access control scanners on the health suite doors. If you are an existing health suite member, please visit reception to collect your wristband. Replacement wristbands will be available from reception for £5.

Pay as you go customers will need to pre book and swipe their Gedling leisure card at the health suite door to gain access during their booked session.

Contactless gym access

Soon gym users will no longer need to queue at reception for a gym ticket, instead you will be able to go straight to the gyms at any of our centres, and swipe your leisure card to gain access. We will let you know when the contactless access goes live.

Young people

New customers under the age of 18 will need bring a guardian with them on their first visit. This is to ensure the relevant information is collected to enter the young person’s details on the system such as emergency contact details.

Gedling Leisure app

Our free Gedling Leisure app has been updated and enables you to manage your account more easily, including booking and cancelling sessions. You will need to set up a new password (via the forgotten your password link) if you’ve not already done this via the website when booking an activity or class.

Select the 'online and Gedling Leisure app bookings' menu header above for more information on logging in and booking.

Swimming lessons

We have switched over to a new online system that records the progress of our swimming lesson students. During the changeover, there was some time where the HomePortal did not show any pupil progressions. The progressions have now been recorded in the new system and will show again on the new HomePortal.

If you think that the system is still not showing the correct progress, please let us know by contacting your leisure centre.

You will need to set up new log in details for HomePortal after 12 September. All swim learners should have received an email with a link to use to log in from. If you have not received this email, please contact the reception to check we have the correct email address for you.

We are working hard to make the transition to the new system as smooth as possible, but we appreciate your patience whilst we are changing over.
