New Gedling Leisure system

Gedling Leisure centres have now introduced a new leisure system. The new system includes improved online features for customers to manage their account and book online on the website and by using the Gedling Leisure app.

Find out more about other important changes below (including how to set up your login details so that you can book online).

Your account and online bookings

Your account

All card holders will need to set up new login details for their online accounts. When you go to log in to your account, either via the Gedling Leisure app or website, click on the ‘Create or reset password’ or 'Forgotten password?' button and enter the email address you signed up to Gedling Leisure with (please make sure that it's all in lower case and that there are no gaps at the end of the email address). You should then receive an email with a link to set up a new password.

To log in within the app, select a class or activity and then click the 'login' button in the top right corner before booking. You can also login via the 'my bookings' button.

Your new password will be the same for both the website login and the app login.

Please note: logging in via the 'my account' button on the app will log you in to view your account on through a browser, not log you into the app for bookings. The 'my account' button on the app will allow you to manage your account details.

Booking activities

Members and Gedling Leisure card holders can book activities 7 days in advance when logged in.

Customers without a membership or Gedling Leisure card can only book on the day. If you are booking through the app without a leisure card, follow the process of booking a session and when you are prompted to login, click 'not a leisure card holder?' to book sessions which take place on that day.

If you require multiple people on one booking e.g to add children, please give the centre a call to add others to your booking.

If the activity you wish to book for is fully booked, you can add yourself to the waiting list. When a space becomes available, an email will be sent to everyone on the waiting list for that activity and the space will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

You will receive confirmation, cancellation and reminder messages for bookings made directly through the app only (not via the online booking webpage or via the leisure centres).

Cancelling an activity

We will require 24 hours notice for any cancellations so that other people can have your place if you aren’t going to be able to attend your booked session.

Members can cancel activities using their online account and via the app's 'my bookings' button.

Gedling Leisure card holders and non-card holders will need to call the centre to cancel a booking and obtain a refund.

Online bookings for other people

You can now link your online account with members of your family (children and adults) to make bookings on their behalf. Each person you wish to link with must have a leisure membership or Gedling Leisure card with an individual email address.

Please contact reception at one of the centres to make your account the primary account and link others to it.

What happens next?

The primary account can make online bookings for linked accounts and view all bookings for each linked account.

Linked accounts can view bookings made on their behalf under the ‘bookings’ tab as well as make bookings and cancellations for themselves as normal.

If a person no longer wishes to be linked to the primary account, they can log into their account, select the ‘linked’ tab under ‘my account’ and set the toggle to disabled.

Booking for multiple people online must be done using the online booking webpage. You can also access this by clicking the ‘my account’ button on the Gedling Leisure app and logging into your account.

Booking for multiple people directly through the app is not yet available.

Gedling Leisure app

Our free Gedling Leisure app has been updated and enables you to manage your account more easily, including booking activities and members can now cancel sessions using their online account. You will need to set up a new password if you’ve not already done this via the website when booking an activity or class. To do this, you will need to use the email address you originally signed up with to Gedling Leisure to obtain an email with a link to create a password.

Select the 'online and Gedling Leisure app bookings' menu header above for more information on logging in and booking.

Gedling Leisure and membership cards

You will need to bring your membership or Gedling Leisure card with you on each visit to the centres, for any activities. Anyone who forgets to bring their leisure card with them will need to go to reception to pick up a temporary, one day leisure card.

If you have lost your Gedling Leisure or membership card, replacement cards will cost £3 each.

If you do not already have a Gedling Leisure card, you can order one online.

Customer ID photos

Customer ID photos are required for all leisure card holders and for anyone on swimming lessons (not including babies at this time).

If you haven't already, please pop by reception on your next visit to have your photo taken so that we can update your account on our system, it will only take a few minutes.

Checking in

All customers will need to check in at reception with their card and then go to their booked activity as usual.

Access to Carlton Forum health suite

Members with the health suite bolt on package should go to reception for a wristband which will open the doors when scanned at the access control scanners on the health suite doors. If you are an existing health suite member, please visit reception to collect your wristband. Replacement wristbands will be available from reception for £5.

Pay as you go customers will need to pre book and swipe their Gedling leisure card at the health suite door to gain access during their booked session.

Contactless gym access

Soon gym users will no longer need to queue at reception for a gym ticket, instead you will be able to go straight to the gyms at any of our centres, and swipe your leisure card to gain access. We will let you know when the contactless access goes live.

Young people

New customers under the age of 18 will need bring a guardian with them on their first visit. This is to ensure the relevant information is collected to enter the young person’s details on the system such as emergency contact details.

Swimming lessons

We have switched over to a new online system that records the progress of our swimming lesson students. During the changeover, there was some time where the HomePortal did not show any pupil progressions. The progressions have now been recorded in the new system and will show again on the new HomePortal.

If you think that the system is still not showing the correct progress, please let us know by contacting your leisure centre.

You will need to set up new log in details for HomePortal after 12 September. All swim learners should have received an email with a link to use to log in from. If you have not received this email, please contact the reception to check we have the correct email address for you.
